You need an Italian “Codice Fiscale”, which is equivalent to an American Social Security Number and free to receive. A.K.A., “Tax Code”, it’s required to open a Bank Account and to legally register any/all documents associated with real estate purchases, regardless if buying cash. Only three documents required to submit request.
